Website structure and style
I'll start working on the structure and style of the actual site, unless someone else would really dig that project. If you guys have ideas about color schemes that you like/don't like (what's a good B/F color scheme?), or layouts (Header, sidemenu, and text? Just a header? etc.) that you prefer/don't prefer, let me know. With CSS, just about anything is possible. I'll also be sure keep the Guild's wish for inter-browser compatability in mind!

Sweet. I need to go run some errands and get some work done at this point, but I'll make some more time for this tonight. Fun project!

I'm so glad you're going to do this.

Hmmm, I'm open on style. I have only two requests off the top of my head- please no light pink as a major color and please no tiny text.

Also, I can't stand frames. But I love a good splash page :)

Question--what are frames? I think I get what a splash page is; it's a title page, right, that can direct you into either frames or text, is that right? But what frames are confuses me. I'm just a self-taught htmler who can barely put together a table on her own.

I think what I don't like is when the fic archive pops up in the small frame window. In and of itself, frames provide a really pretty layout but for the major content, I just prefer full page views without having to specifically press a button to break out of the frames.

I see what you mean, and I definitely like the second one better--but that might be more about styles and colour and layout than for any other reason.

A font that's easy to read--something sans-serif, like Verdana.

And for the fics themselves, I like a very simple layout, so that all the concentration's on the writing, not the background.

Hmmm... I agree with no pink and a large, easy to read font. I prefer simple to elaborate stuff, but that's just me.
